Self-Portraits and Anagolous Colors

For the first week of Art, my students drew their self-portrait and chose analogous colors to design their portrait.  

What is an Analagous Color Scheme?

Analogous color schemes are 2-3 colors next to each other on the color wheel.

 They usually match well and create serene and comfortable designs.

Analogous color schemes are often found in nature and are pleasing to the eye.

Welcome!

It's a new school year and I am already so inspired by my kiddos' creative ideas in art class.  Kids really do come up with the most original stuff - it's so inspiring.  It's going to be a great year!
